"I don't want to follow a content framework"

The Catalyst Letter

I hear this often when talking to people about growing on social media.

"I don't want to follow a content framework"

If you feel like you have creative block and you start to overthink your content because you're trying to force ideas into all these different strategies and frameworks so you can "go viral" - this email is for you.

I'm going to break your old habits down and give you a new, clear mindset with a roadmap so you can create better, more authentic content.

If you want to grow on social media, build and scale your online income as a 1 person business, and give yourself the opportunity to share your message and ideas with the world...

Here are 3 steps to creating viral and authentic social media content.

And yes. There is an authentic and organic framework you need to follow, which I will explain why and how to use it in the 3rd step of this email.

A quick reminder:

If you're interested in working with me I will be raising prices in the community and my 1 on 1 coaching / consulting services at the end of the month on September 30th (12 days from now).

Here's a quick rundown of what I can help you with:

If you’re an online business owner, coach, consultant, professional, or aspiring creator looking to share your knowledge online through viral and authentic content - this is for you.

I want to help you gain your first (or next) 1000 followers in 1 month, 10K followers in 3 months, and +100K followers in 1 year.

These are the realistic expectations I set for people that are using my Creator Catalyst System.

I've had many clients use this system and grow much faster than this, but I don't want to inflate any numbers here. This an average benchmark for anyone posting content using this system.

This kind of growth / numbers should be your rough goal regardless of if we work together or not.

If you are not gaining between 1000-3000 followers per month on social media you have a content problem.

And I want to help you fix it.

So, if you work with me you can expect to:

1. Install a bullet proof creator mindset. The same mindset all of your favourites use and have.

2. Dial in your content strategy (what you post) that complements your offer” your offer and niche to attract your dream audience.

3. Develop your content system (how you post) to allow you to create content consistently even through a busy work-life schedule.

4. Work with me to refine and develop your content strategy to make sure you have an optimal balance of leads and views for your business

5. Unlock new content creation skills like talking to the camera, selling on stories, filming higher quality content, and consider outsourcing your editing

6. Work with me to expand your content through different mediums and platforms to build your digital real estate once you've mastered your 1st platform. (Newsletter, Youtube, Tiktok, etc.)

7. Launch, scale, and grow new or existing offers while lowering your ad spend. This will also be a good opportunity to launch that low ticket offer you've always been thinking about.

The 3 Step Content Framework

Alright, let's get back into it -

I get it. You don't want to feel limited by a frame work. Let me completely melt this false belief away in the next 4 minutes of this email.

You will be able to create authentic and original content that truly reflects who you are by using this content framework.

If you do not use a framework, no one will see your videos and you will have no message that will be seen or heard.

A framework will not limit you. You can still create viral content while being yourself without overthinking or getting writers block.

Let's break down the 3-step framework for creating viral, authentic content so you can build your dream audience.

Step 1: Give Value

At the core of every viral piece of content is value.

People don’t watch, like, share, or comment on any post unless there is a tangible impact to them.

This is why every piece of content you create should aim to either entertain, educate, or inspire your audience.

Your content needs to leave an emotional impression and pull.

When someone scrolls through their feed, you only have a 1-2 seconds to grab their attention. If you’re not delivering value, they’ll just keep scrolling.

When you entertain them, teach them something useful, or inspire them to take action, you’re giving them a reason to stop and engage with your content.

For example...

If you want to create an educational piece of content, it could be a quick tip on how to improve a skill your audience is struggling to master. This tip should be actionable, easy to understand for all levels, and easy to implement. Almost like a copy and paste tip that they can grab.

(like how to upload your videos on instagram without compression, the topic that got me 3.5M views across 2 videos)

If you want to create an inspirational piece of content, you can write about a motivational story about overcoming obstacles. Tell a personal story with sexy and inspiring b-roll. Make it fun, action packed, satisfying, really try and spark some emotion.

(like my motivational / quote video that got me 11M views on 1 video)

If you want to create an entertainment style content, you would want your viewer to be engaged through a funny skit (pranks), a light hearted moment (cats, dogs, babies), a good personal story (day in my life), an action packed plot or cliff hanger (today I'm going to see if I can win a race at my local run club), an interesting topic that makes you think a little deeper (how the survival bias helped design the WWII planes) Ect.

(entertainment videos like the Sony vs. Iphone reel that got me 1M views 2 weeks ago)

Step 2: Share Your Experiences and Value Through Storytelling

This is where your own personality and authenticity can really shine through. Sharing value through your own stories is a powerful way to connect with your audience.

When you open up and share your experiences—whether they’re wins, struggles, or lessons learned—you humanize your personal brand.

Many of your favourite creators use a balance of reliability and admirability to build a huge audience. (think Emma Chamberlain or Sam Sulek)

People relate to stories more than they do to data or facts.

Your story is unique, and it gives you a chance to stand out in a "crowded" digital space. It's a great way to also build your own creditability.

Storytelling helps your audience connect with you on a personal level, making them more likely to trust you and engage with your content.

Here’s a storytelling framework you can use (Almost all authors and writers use a similar writing framework):

  1. Set the Scene: Introduce the problem or challenge. Let your audience know where and how you started.

  2. Conflict: Share the struggle or obstacle you faced. What was standing in your way?

  3. Resolution: Explain how you overcame the challenge or found a solution. This is where you deliver the value or lesson.

  4. Takeaway: Leave your audience with something actionable or thought-provoking so they can use in their own life. (this is your value add and if you're slick you can include that CTA)

Instead of simply saying, “Consistency is key,” try sharing a personal story about how you struggled with posting regularly but eventually found a system that worked for you.

One system that worked really well for me on my journey when trying to build my business and still earn a living is The Creator Catalyst System. (see what I did there)

This makes your message feel more relatable and real.

You can use this story telling frame work on as big or small of a scale as you need.

Step 3: Follow a Persuasive Content Framework

This is where your creative content will meet written strategy.

If you want your content to go viral, you need to learn how to be persuasive.

No matter how valuable your message is, if you don’t hook people in and keep them watching, no one will ever see your message.

No eyeballs? No impact.

That’s why you need a viral hook and script structure.

There is someone else on the other side of the screen consuming your content, and if you don't package your message in an engaging way then you'll lose them.

Persuasion isn’t about manipulation; it’s about showing your value in the best light possible for your audience.

Without persuasion, your message and offer might be great, but no one will stop to watch your content or learn more about what you do.

By using a hook to grab attention and a clear script structure to keep viewers engaged, you’re maximizing your content's potential.

Here’s a simple framework that I talked about in last week's letter you can follow:

The Viral Hook Formula

  1. Polarizing Cliffhanger

  2. Credibility + Importance

  3. Payoff

Why You Need To Follow A Content Framework To Grow On Social Media

Here’s the bottom line: If you want to succeed on social media while staying true to who you are, you need to follow both a persuasive writing framework and a viral content structure.

Why?

Because social media is noisy. There's a lot of bullsh*t out there.

Do not get this confused with the competition on social media. There isn’t much individual competition at all if you post good content consistently.

If your message and value is not packaged in a way to steal someone's attention from watching harmful content then you're doing everybody, including yourself disservice.

Millions of posts are competing for your attention, and if you’re not presenting your ideas in a engaging way, you will not be reaching many people at all.

Your content has to be both digestible and engaging. By using persuasion techniques—like hooks and clear value delivery—you’re not being inauthentic; you’re actually amplifying your authenticity.

You’re making sure your message gets the attention it deserves, so it can have the impact it was meant to.

Remember, social media is about attention, and attention is the currency that fuels the creator economy.

If you want to grow your personal brand, sell digital products, or make a living doing what you love, you need people to notice you first.

That’s where a persuasive framework comes in.

It helps you cut through the noise, capture attention, and ultimately share your authentic message with the world.
